Year round enjoyment
Beth Michiemo Photography
Hazelnut Farm is truly a year round venue. The outdoor to indoor flow offers a variety of backdrops for a progressive evening while the climate controlled ballrooms offer guaranteed guest comfort in any weather.
Our gardens are planted with plants that will bloom in rounds through early spring through Fall. There are also a variety of evergreens on property, ensuring there is no bad time of year to enjoy the beauty of our grounds!
The gardens at Hazelnut Farm wake up in early Spring with the blooming of thousands of daffodils along the black four board fence surrounding our property. The beauty continues through the rest of the season with tulips blooming next and trees in the large Ceremony Lawn that bloom white for a magical setting in April.
Take comfort that there are rain and temperature backups for your outdoor events as we always like to have a Plan A for ideal weather with Plan B and even Plan C to accommodate your event in the case of unpredictable Kentucky weather!

Summer
The gardens sing in Summer with the blooming of hydrangeas, peonies, and a variety of elegant roses among many other colorful plants. There is no limit to beautiful locations for outdoor photos and a great variety of outdoor ceremony options.
We help you and your guests beat the heat with bars that roll outside for ice cold refreshments along with a number of ceiling fans and pedestal fans on the covered porch and ivory canvas umbrellas on our open air patios.
The sun sets later in mid-Summer, but you have the option to party until midnight with our all day rental.

Autumn
While blooms in Kentucky start to fade in Fall, we are situated on a property surrounded with hillsides of trees that get stunning Fall foliage.
The dry early Fall is an optimum time of year for our clients that envision the ten sets of French doors from the ballroom to the covered porch being open all evening, because no heat or A/C is needed - just enjoy the cool breeze that blows off the lake while you take a break from the dance floor!
Propane fire pits offer that quintessential countryside ambience and along with additional heaters allow guests to enjoy the outdoors even into late Fall.

Kind Words from Clients
Hazelnut Farm was the perfect venue for my wedding! I honestly cannot say enough good things about the venue, staff, and overall process from booking to our special day. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything went as planned. Not to mention, planning a wedding from across the country, they made sure to accommodate mine and my family’s requests. If you are thinking of having your wedding or any special event at HF, don’t think twice! So thankful for our experience!

Winter
There is nothing more stunning than our lake and grounds covered with a fresh blanket of sparkling snow! We will work to ensure the clearing of parking and walking areas on property in the case of winter weather. Guests will enjoy the beauty of the outdoors through the wall of windows in the cozy ballroom with indoor fireplace.
The market lights at the entrance give a welcoming glow for guest arrival if your event start time is during or after the earlier Winter sunset timing.
Gravel pathways around the lake ensure you can take advantage of outdoor photos without having to walk on wet grounds. Photographers love our Westward facing property because of the prolonged "golden hour" in Winter months!
