How Hazelnut Farm Events Helps You Create a Wedding Day that Feels Authentically Yours

How Hazelnut Farm Events Helps You Create a Wedding Day that Feels Authentically Yours

There's a version of wedding planning where every decision narrows your options. You pick a venue, and suddenly you're working around fixed setups, rigid timelines, and a look that belongs to someone else's wedding. That's not the experience couples find at Hazelnut Farm Events in Louisville, Kentucky.

Planning a wedding that feels yours authentically starts with a venue that gives you room to make real decisions. Our entire 40-acre property is exclusively yours from 8:00 AM to midnight. What happens inside that window is shaped by you, your vision, and the vendors who bring it to life.

Your Wedding, Your Way at Hazelnut Farm Events

At Hazelnut Farm Events, no two weddings look the same because no two couples are the same. From the ceremony space you choose to the way your reception flows, every part of the day is built around your vision, not a template. That's the difference a venue with genuine flexibility makes.

The Spaces and How Your Day Flows

The grand ballroom features ponderosa pine ceilings, three crystal chandeliers, and a mix of brick, concrete, and wood that gives you a clean, versatile backdrop for your personal wedding style. The covered porch spans the length of the ballroom, overlooks the private lake, and can host ceremonies for up to 250 guests with no tent required. With the Eastwood and Lakeview areas open together, the venue accommodates up to 350 guests with a dance floor.

Guests arrive through the foyer with its teal front door and limestone rock fountain, and the day moves naturally from ceremony to cocktail hour on the covered porch or patio, then into dinner and dancing in the grand ballroom. Custom barn doors divide spaces so the reception reveal still feels intentional. On the grounds, a Monet-inspired bridge leads to a private island ceremony space, alongside a koi fish dock, an Italian-style patio, a preserved historic smokehouse, and hydrangea and rose-lined garden paths throughout.

What's Included With Your Booking

Your rental includes all-day access from 8:00 AM to midnight, with tables and gold Chiavari chairs with ivory tie-on pads set up for up to 350 guests based on your custom floor plan. The fully equipped catering kitchen includes warming boxes, a commercial refrigerator, a three-bay sink, ice access, trash and dumpster service, and four custom rolling bar fronts usable indoors or outdoors. Four event bathrooms, paved ADA-compliant parking, and on-site staff throughout the day are all part of your booking.

Food, Bar, and Vendor Flexibility

Catering, bar service, and your planner or day-of coordinator must come from the approved vendor list. The vendors on that list know the property and carry the required licensing and insurance. The approved caterer list spans a wide range of cuisines, from Brasserie Provence and Volare to Mayan Café, Gustavo's Mexican Grill, Seviche, and Tandoori Fusion. Cultural cuisine requests outside the list may be considered with prior approval, a property walkthrough, and a signed usage agreement.

All alcohol must be purchased and served by a vendor holding an ABC-issued liquor license. BYOB and self-serve alcohol are not permitted. Last call is at 11:30 PM or 30 minutes before the event ends. For florals, photography, videography, entertainment, transportation, and beauty services, you choose your own vendors freely.

Planning for Kentucky Weather

Building a wedding day that feels yours authentically means planning for the weather, honestly, not hoping for the best. Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C are built into every event at Hazelnut Farm. The covered porch handles ceremonies for up to 250 guests without a tent. The climate-controlled grand ballroom serves as a full indoor backup for both ceremony and reception, and the venue team manages room flip services if the plan needs to shift.

It's about having the right ones, backed by a family-owned team that supports you from the first tour through the final dance. At Hazelnut Farm Events in Louisville, Kentucky, every space, every inclusion, and every policy is designed so your day reflects who you are as a couple.
